What causes 16 year old asphalt shingles that have a 20 year warranty to curl up on their ends? - shingles

Is there a temperature which makes these shingles curl? It is strange because I add to my house is 30 years old and was placed on the tiles and 30 years and not curly! But the shingles on my house of origin. What?

They say that caused the poor ventilation of the attic, the accumulation of heat can make them turn. I noticed that some within 15 years, and to remove other houses in the same ventilation past 30 years. I think there are different batches with different levels of quality produced, making it a crap shoot curling or not. A lie and bent, and others are not bent. All you can do is replace it.

Excess heat in the attic. Check to make sure attic vents (coffee grinders, or power vent) is installed.
